The melamine is thick enough that I don't worry about chips when the kids grab cookies off it, and the red plaid looks way nicer than plain plastic. Stacking both trays in one cabinet shelf is a nice bonus after the holidays.
I brought these to Christmas dinner and ended up using both trays for appetizers and cookies. The melamine is surprisingly sturdy and the plaid print doesn't look cheap up close. Wiped them clean with a damp cloth and they were good as new.
Bought these for a cookie swap and they held a full dozen without any flex in the bottom. The melamine wipes clean in seconds, which matters when you're stacking them between courses. Genuinely festive without looking cheap.
