The casting has this nice rough texture that catches the light on my shelf, and the size is perfect for a side table. The uneven edges make it feel handcrafted rather than mass-produced, which is exactly what I wanted.
The imperfections actually give it character—mine has a subtle uneven edge that makes it feel handcrafted. Sits perfectly on my shelf at about 7 inches tall, and the aluminum has a nice weight to it that feels substantial.
It’s surprisingly hefty for its size, and the cast aluminum gives it a nice vintage weight that feels right at home on my shelf. The slight color variations make it look almost handmade, and it’s got a clear, pleasant ring when I tap it.
