I've been using this server for pies and tarts for a few weeks now, and the hammered stainless steel spatula has just the right flex to lift a slice without cracking the crust. The old-school look fits right in with my wooden table.
The hammered steel spatula glides under a slice of pie without tearing the crust at all, which I didn't expect from something this sturdy. It's heavy in the hand in a good way, and the little carved handle detail makes it feel like a piece I'll keep for years.
The hand-carved wooden handle feels so much nicer in my hand than the old metal one I've been using for years. I've been serving pies and tarts with it all month and the stainless spatula slides under a flaky crust without tearing it.
