I've had this under my coffee table for a month and the wool still feels thick and dense, not flattened. It does shed a little at first, but vacuuming once a week took care of that.

The hand woven texture is what sold me — you can actually see the weave pattern up close and it looks way more expensive than it cost. It's been a month under my dining table and it's barely shed at all.

I was worried 100% wool would feel scratchy, but this thing is soft underfoot even barefoot. The natural tone warmed up my whole living room more than I expected from a rug.
